2015 Chardonnay
Sonoma Coast

The 2015 vintage generated an unexpected surprise for Texture. As harvest concluded, Erich Bradley received a call from longtime friend and master viticulturist Ulises Valdez. A generous yield from the Laguna Vineyard, one of his most esteemed vineyards in Forestville, created a rare opportunity to offer a small amount of Chardonnay from this coveted location. In a year that produced perhaps the finest coastal Chardonnay in a generation, Erich acted quickly to secure the windfall. The fruit was picked early to capture the bracing acidity that defines Texture, and augmented with Chardonnay from Ulises' Lancel Creek and Lucky Well vineyards in Occidental. The result brings together three of California's most compelling Chardonnay vineyards into rich, balanced harmony. It is a bottling that reflects its New World roots while remaining faithful to our Burgundian inspiration.
