2021 Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard

In the captivating expanse of Wendling Vineyard, the 2021 vintage emerges as an exceptionally small yet extraordinary harvest of Pinot Noir. Managed by owner Paul Ardzrooni amidst the rugged Pacific Ocean backdrop, Wendling Vineyard’s steep slopes and chilly climate necessitate extended hang time for fruit to ripen. As such, the long, even growing season in 2021 was especially fortuitous, affording Winemaker Erich Bradley ample opportunity to create a multi-faceted wine primarily composed from the illustrious Pommard clone. Texture is one of only a few wineries sourcing fruit from the southeast-facing block at Wendling Vineyard, imparting a distinct expression on this wine which showcases an elegant fruit profile and regal structure unique from its counterparts.
